HoistCam’s Cameras on Crane Success Story: QClad

QClad Project

Nothing makes a company prouder than to hear success stories from their clients, and HoistCam is no different. One of the most recent success stories to date comes from QClad Pty Ltd. QClad had over 15,000m2 of insulated panels that they needed to install quickly and safely, with an all terrain crane. All too often when faced with such a project, a crane operator may have to perform many blind lifts. These types of lifts are very tedious and time consuming. Due to the aggravation and stress of these lifts, crane operators usually charge much more per hour, and take much more time to complete the project.

The largest area which QClad needed to cover with the Kingspand insulated roof panels was 12,000m2, which was almost twelve thousand individual panels. Unless the crane operator was able to grow a new set of eyes that would allow him to see almost any area of the job site, it was bound to be a time-consuming and costly one. After doing their homework and researching the benefits of adding cameras on cranes to their equipment, QClad decided to spend a little money and wait a bit of time in order to acquire a HoistCam camera for the project.

Once the project was completed, QClad was glad to share their experience with HoistCam. The company was thrilled to report that they saved a great deal of time and money by using the HoistCam cameras on cranes. Construction time was less than expected, since each and every lift took far less time and was more accurate than it would have been without HoistCam’s cameras on cranes. Although QClad admits that they will likely still perform smaller task without the HoistCam where it is not needed, the HoistCam saved them both time and money on this huge project.
