Ingo Schiller, CEO of HoistCam, highlights the key takeaways from this year’s Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association meeting.

HoistCam was on hand for the 2024 Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association’s (SC&RA) Annual Conference. The conference, held April 15–19th at the Omni Barton Creek in Austin, Texas, is a premier gathering of the industry’s leading decision-makers and experts, providing attendees with an exceptional opportunity to take part in critical conversations that impact the organization’s advocacy and success.

This year’s event featured over 350 companies, 800 participants, and a near-record number of first-timers. Participants from various sectors took advantage of the numerous networking opportunities and heard about the latest industry trends and advances from the esteemed speakers.

A clear theme at the conference this year was the emphasis on safety. Job site and operations safety, along with a heightened focus on mental health for workers in construction, transportation, lifting, manufacturing, and service sectors, were major topics of discussion as the industry continues progressing toward greater safety.

HoistCam CEO, Ingo Schiller, says, “Attending SC&RA’s conference wasn’t just about showcasing our technology; it was about actively contributing to the conversation on safety standards and practices. At HoistCam, safety isn’t just a priority, it’s our DNA. It’s about ensuring every lift is a safe lift. Thus, I was truly excited to participate in this vital gathering of industry experts.”

The consensus is that the crane and lifting industries are doing well with construction and maintenance work keeping cranes in use. SC&RA, which advocates to educate and provide networking opportunities that help industry stakeholders operate safely, legally, and profitably continues to pursue its mission, playing an important role and contributing significantly to the industry’s well-being.

HoistCam was honored to be a part of the conference and looks forward to future meetings with the opportunity to forge alliances that will undoubtedly propel the industry toward greater heights of safety and innovation.
